Summer Hiatus!

Wow, what a year it's been!   We premiered several new works including John Muehleisen's "There Was an Old Man in a Marsh" before the Northwest American Choral Director's Association Convention in Seattle, took another successful trip over to Icicle Creek for Christmas, some of our members appeared on stage at Carnegie Hall, and we gave joint concerts with the music program at Kent Lutheran Church, Harvard Glee Club - the nation's oldest collegiate male choir, and the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus! What's next?  BREAK TIME!!!

Not only has it been a crazy-fun year, it's been a crazy-fun five years!  It is now time for us to take a little break, and spend some time with our families, catch up on some proejcts, and get some work that we need to do: done!  (File our 501c3, and get the Russian CD out!).  What started up as a one-off pick up choir has sure had a fun and interesting last 5 years.

So look for news on the Russian CD release. We'll keep planning awesoem concerts and shows for next season, and if you have any questions, please let us know!  Thank for all your support these part 4.5 years.  It's been a blast!

The Passing of Barrie Lane
Barrie Lane, the man responsible for making sure we had an awesome Santa Claus at each of our Holiday concerts passed away suddenly last month.  Barrie was a supporter of the group from the start.  His family were some of our first financial supporters.  His daughter Sarah helped us file our incorporation documents and form the group, and his wife Lois has appeared on stage with us as a member of Jet Cities Chorus, and he could be seen at many-a-Jet Cities show, selling CDs or taking tickets.  A kinder man, you couldn't find.  We'll miss you Barrie.  We're honored to sing at your memorial service, and we will always keep a special place for you in our hearts.

Illumni to perform at the Northwest American Choral Director's Association conference on March 13th at 4PM!

Illumni is honored to have been asked to perform at this year's NWACDA convention at Town Hall in Seattle!  Tickets are available to the general public, for $5 at the door.  We'll perform some of your favorite Illumni songs (including the stuff that got us on America's Got Talent!) ALL written by members of the group, AND you'll hear the world premier of a new piece by John Muehleisen, "There was an Old Man in a Marsh".   Come join us for this wonderful opportunity!

The passing of Barrie Lane

We are very sad to report the passing of Barrie Lane.  Barrie was a long time supporter of our group, and made sure Santa Claus showed up at our concerts every year (read between the lines).  His daughter Sarah helped us get extablished as a WA nonprofit, and his wife Lois has appeared singing on our shows.  Barrie will be sorely missed.  Many pictures of Barrie and his family are on our Facebook page.  Please check them out!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our concert with Harvard Glee Club on January 4th such a stunning success.
